In tonight’s What’s Working, dozens of artists have found a creative place to work under one roof. They are part of the Central Arts Collective in midtown Mobile. The Collective is located in the classroom space at Central Presbyterian Church on Dauphin Street.
Loaves and Fish Community Ministry hosts ART SOUP on November 11, 2022, from 6-9 pm. This is a lively street party on Joachim Street in front of the Saenger Theatre and the Mobile Arts Council in conjunction with LODA ArtWalk. The art in “Art Soup” is represented by exquisite, handcrafted bowls donated by local artists. The empty bowl signifies the fight against hunger.
LaKesha Lee submitted her Moths to be included in the Flights of Fancy art show by Central ArtSanctuary in the Chapel at Central. The show featured artwork made with plants.
Flights of Fancy is series of plant-based-dye projects implemented in a juried art exhibition, a community quilt project, and a fashion show.
