The Mobile Book Expo is more than just a book event. The Expo’s mission is to provide opportunities for authors to present and sell their books, network with other authors, and learn more about the craft of writing.
Loaves and Fish Community Ministry hosts ART SOUP on November 11, 2022, from 6-9 pm. This is a lively street party on Joachim Street in front of the Saenger Theatre and the Mobile Arts Council in conjunction with LODA ArtWalk. The art in “Art Soup” is represented by exquisite, handcrafted bowls donated by local artists. The empty bowl signifies the fight against hunger.

Nearly a quarter of all children in Mobile County (22.4%) and 15% of the total population face food insecurity; that equals 65,300 local residents including 21,890 local children.
Central Midtown is hosting a free Home Energy Clinic on July 6 to teach local homeowners how to make their homes more energy efficient.
By implementing free and inexpensive upgrades and repairs, participants will learn how to save up to 30% in home energy costs while creating more environmentally-friendly energy systems.
The artists of Central Arts Collective (CAC) invite the community to visit their working studios across three floors of Central Midtown for their Spring Open House and Art Market, Saturday, April 2, from 10 am – 2 pm.
