This special showcase celebrates the incredible potters and glass artists who made Art Soup such a success. Unlike Art Soup, this event isn’t just about bowls — artists will be sharing and selling a full range of their work: functional pieces, sculptural art, experimental creations, and deeply personal work.
Reading While Grieving is designed for readers who are living with loss. Each month, a work of fiction is paired with a non-fiction book about grief, creating a space where emotions and experiences can be gently met and understood. This is a compassionate space for reflection, connection, and meaning-making through reading.
Central Midtown will host a special edition of their Second Saturday Vendors Market, right before Mother’s Day on May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will take place at 1260 Dauphin Street in Mobile.
The market will feature local vendors and small businesses selling art, handmade goods, unique finds, and food items.

Join Traci Hoskins, a renowned Mobile artist celebrated for her work with upcycled and recycled materials, for a hands-on art class where you’ll design your own unique collage (self-portrait, landscape, still life, etc.). Traci will guide participants through each step of the creative process using sustainable and found materials.
