July 2026 – Second Saturday Vendor Market with Splash City Arts

Central Midtown’s Second Saturday Vendor Market is growing, and it’s bringing some exciting new energy along with it. Market coordinator Betty Anderson and Camille Ford, owner of the brand-new Splash City Arts in Saraland, stopped by recently to share what’s happening and why you won’t want to miss the next one.

What Is the Second Saturday Vendor Market?

Launched in January, the Second Saturday Vendor Market has been building momentum right here at Central Midtown. Betty Anderson has been working hard to grow both the vendor lineup and the shopper base, and she’s got some exciting additions in the works.

The market is pet-friendly, features a variety of vendors including jewelry and more, and starting last month added a monthly raffle with three drawings, giving both shoppers and vendors a chance to go home with something extra. Betty’s also putting out a call to food trucks, if you’re interested in joining the market, reach out. (Everyone agrees: people love to eat.)

Splash City Arts: Saraland’s Newest Creative Spot

Camille Ford recently opened Splash City Arts at 15 Harris Avenue in Sterling (Saraland), Alabama, and the response has already been enthusiastic. The studio offers splatter paint sessions and features a Jill Bless arena, with programming for kids ages 2–7. Hours are Thursday through Saturday, 11am–close, and Sunday from 4 to 10pm.

The first weekend brought an unexpected challenge, heavy rains actually flooded the parking lot, but the second weekend turned out a solid crowd, and Camille says things are looking up. To celebrate the Second Saturday market on June 13th, Splash City Arts will be handing out $5-off coupons at the event.

Mark Your Calendar: June 13th

The next Second Saturday Vendor Market is coming up on Saturday, June 13th at Central Midtown. Come shop local vendors, enter the raffle, check out Splash City Arts, and help build something great in our community.
