This event isn’t just about tacos (though they’re a big deal!). It’s about community — and creating a sustainable way to support the people who make our shared space possible.
All proceeds from this event fund the people and programs behind Central Midtown. Your attendance, sponsorship, or donation helps power year-round impact — one taco at a time.
The church has stepped up to fund the gap — now it’s our turn to follow through.
By turning a family-friendly day of food and fun into a fundraising powerhouse, we’ll ensure Central Midtown stays vibrant, creative, and accessible.

- Football Game Watch Zone – Simulcast of the Alabama and Auburn football games on big screens with tailgate-style seating and spirited rivalry vibes

- Kids Zone – Face painting, creative play, tie-dye station, and more
- Art Market – Local makers, handmade goods, creative gifts
- Costume Contests – Kids, pets, and business themes (jalapeño welcome)

Bring your flavor to the tailgate! Home cooks, pros, and foodies are invited to compete in our Taco Tailgate Cook-Off.
- Compete for the title of Taco Champion of Central Midtown
- Share your signature style and flavor with 500+ attendees
- You bring the setup and ingredients, we’ll manage the voting & tasting tickets
- Includes two General Admission tickets for you and a guest
- No food truck? No problem — we’ll provide a table space and signage
